My own experiences of childhood abuse and trauma are what fuel my passion to help others find healing from past hurts, habits, and hang-ups. It took many people along my journey, including my own counselor, to help me move through pain to be able to find my purpose. Like a Harvest, it can be timely and difficult work, but I eventually found Hope and believe that you can too!

As everyone has different upbringings, beliefs, and values, I do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to therapy. As a counselor, I subscribe to an integrative model of counseling and rely heavily on person-centered and existential approaches. I respect these models, as I believe people are capable of change when they feel safe.  Additionally, I believe we, if we choose, can making meaning of our lives and find freedom after abuse, loss, and other difficult and traumatic experiences.

At my core, I aim to treat everyone with respect, which I genuinely believe we all deserve. No matter what you've experienced in life or where you are today, it is my goal to greet you with a smile and create an inviting atmosphere for you to feel safe exploring and making meaning of your own unique story.  It would be my sincere privilege to walk alongside you on your journey of healing.

In leisure time, I enjoy concerts, college football in the Fall, and traveling with my spouse. Spending time with loved ones, eating Mexican food, and playing with our three dogs bring me joy. I also admittedly love anything competitive, whether it be games, bowling, or laser tag.

Experience

Upon obtaining a bachelor's degree in psychology from Athens State University in 2012, I had the privilege to work alongside children and their families, as well as adults struggling with mental illness.

After several years in the mental health field, I spent time gaining invaluable experience in the Department of Defense (DOD) world. It was during the pandemic, that I felt called back to my original goal of becoming a counselor. I obtained my Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of North Alabama (UNA) and founded Harvesting Hope, LLC to create a safe, inclusive space for individuals like you searching for healing, hope, and freedom.
